December Goodies

So when I order scrapbook supplies,
I generally browse and order.....
browse and order.

But about 2 or 3 times a year
I grab bag it.
There is one site in particular that I do this from and it is May Flaum's
blog.
She has not had a sale in a while.
But I love ordering things from her.

Well, so the other day I found another blog
through Paper Issues (love this Etsy store)
and she was getting ready to have a studio sale.
I just do not normally order from someone either I don't "know"
or have had a recomendation from somebody I "know" on,
but this time was different.
Just something about her.
About her site.
About her style.
Caused me to want to give it ago.
So I ordered a box from her.

Oh, who is she?
Well her name is Leslie
and you can find sweet Leslie right here.

Well, I got my box,
and
Oh.
My.

It was INCREDIBLE!!!

I normally don't do posts about my supplies,
but I just HAD to share this.
Y'all are just not going to believe this.

First off,
she sent me an ENTIRE paper pack
complete with the 2 sheets of stickers,
all still in the package.
"SO HAPPY TOGETHER"
The entire pack,
Unopened.
WOW!

This adorable letter sticker sheet.

Paper.....
PAPer.....
PAPER.....
Here are the CHRISTmas goodies she sent me.

Lots 'o card stock.....

Some even embossed.
WOW!!

Lots of paper!!!!!
Some were current,
some were past lines,
but I did not care AT ALL!!
Some many of the past lines,
I don't have and don't really know about,
being that I haven't been scrapping really that long.
I mean I've had scrap stuff for a LONG time,
but as far as actually using it,
only about a year or so, of real creative play.
Which I love btw =)

Some up close of an October Afternoon paper.
LOVE.
There were 70 sheets of paper.
70
WOWZERS!!!

Look at these wonderful stamp sets.....

Yes, alpha stamps.
I know right?
GREAT!!!

And then once I took all my pics and got back to my studio
I found a CHRISTmas set I forgot to include,
and it is SO cute!!
Maybe I'll just show it in action. =)

And so many extra goodies.....

Bling,
Brads,
Buttons,
Felties,
and SO much more.....

Flowers,
Ephemera,
Banners,
Doilies.....
Etc.....

And then a Maya Road Mini Album with Tabs ~~ love.
Maya Road canvas butterflies.....
Tags.....
Masks.....
Rubons.....
Oh my!

And some how I didn't get the pic on my computer,
but there was also 3 washi tapes,
1 Yellow sparkle spray,
1 paint dabber,
glitter,
distress embossing powder,
and I'm sure I'm probably forgetting something,
but WOW!!!

I mean seriously,
this was incredible!!

So visit Leslie,
love on her,
and if she has any boxes left,
nab one!!!

I'm hoping to be back later today with my
Layout Love Linky for December.

Until then.....

Christmas Past and Taggin'

So today in JYC, we were reminiscing about Christmas past.

I told the story of putting up our Christmas tree as a kid,
the day after Thanksgiving.
Always.
No deviating.
ALWAYS the day after Thanksgiving!
My mom was cool like that =)

I was always so excited
and
couldn't wait for that day to get here.

I was one of five,
so this was always a day of chaos and fun.
Love and joy.
It was family to me.

So for the page,
I built a little Christmas tree in the corner
and
decided to journal on a tag.
Love.
Added banner and twine
misted and inked
and
done.
I may add a few things to these pages as the month goes on,
but this page has such a wonderful vintage feel to it.
Love.

I do have a question though,
if you are doing JYC,
are you adding your #'s to the prompt pages?
Are you adding the photo prompts to your book as well?
I'm just a tad confused.
So far
no numbers on mine yet.
Thinking about adding them to the outside of the page protector.
Any thoughts?

Then in May's Camp Scrap
she challenges us to make a tag using Distress stain.
I have three of these,
so I used one of those and some other Distress ink pads
and some stamps,
a little embossing
and
voila!!
There you have it!!!

I hope y'all are having a crafty fun season.

Topper, Prompt & Manifesto = Fun Day!!

Well despite a sore throat,
today has been fantastic!!

Let's start by saying.....
I'M LOVING Camp Scrap!!

Today May talked about making some pretties for gifts,
and since Sir Cuteness and I started his advent calendar today,
this gave me a perfect reason to do a little something special in his
Advent Gift tomorrow.....
a little package topper.

How cute is this?
I used a Mr. Huey's mask and misted a brown paper bag from Michaels,
and folder a die cut piece in half and added this little Crown beauty.
Sir Cuteness is gonna LOVE THIS!!

Today was the first day of Journal Your Christmas.
It was Manifesto day.
Love.

For Advent today,
Sir Cuteness got mini Moon Pies.
He was over the Moon excited!  =)

These next two are the photo prompt photo's for JYC today.
We were to take a pic of something that reminds us of early Christmas.
For me it is the craft show in a nearby town.
I generally go every year with my friend G,
but she couldn't go today,
so my dear Arielle when with me,
an old tradition made new again.
Love that!
My dear Arielle and I went to our favorite tea house for breakfast
and coffee =)
and then we were off to the local craft show.
It was so crazy at the craft show,
that we couldn't even park,
so we opted to do some shopping instead.
It was so fun!!

This girl is such a Blessing to me.
We had the best time.
Look at this girl.
She is just gorgeous.
Inside.
and.
out.
I want to do most of my pics for JYC in black and white,
but look at this blue wall,
I just couldn't black and white this one.
Nope, color it shall be =)

Thank you so much for stopping by.

Journaling, Camping & Scrappin'

I love the CHRISTmas season!!

I love celebrating the birth of our Savior with my family!!!

*****

There are so many fun and exciting things going on in December,
and one started today and one starts tomorrow.
started today.

And the challenge for today was to make something in 30 mins.
So I completed the first part of our Advent Calendar this year.

I bought the kit from Cassie over at Paper Issues on Etsy,
and then ran wild with it.

I mounted it on a 12x12 cork board and added tags.
Simple.
Love.

Here are some lovely details.
I cut a wide strip of paper and put it in the center,
and added lots of sequins, stars, washi and a button.

I stamped each tag with a fun Christmas stamp,
and on this one I colored it in with my distress markers.
What a fun bit of whimsy this is =)

On this one, I colored the stamp
with the Distress Markers,
blew on it,
and stamped.
I LOVE the results and will be doing this more.
I wasn't to sure at first,
but it worked just beautifully.

I added washi and twine to each tag,
coordinating with the row (top red, bottom green),
and edged each one with Vintage Photo.

*****

Tomorrow starts a new venture for me.
I signed up for Journal Your Christmas..... JYC byt Shimelle.

So I did some prep.
I didn't go crazy with prep.
Kept it pretty simple.
But I have lots of things ready to go.....
embellies, paper cut, and a heart ready to journal.

This is some patterned paper I made on kraft with some snowflake stamps.
I LOVE the way this turned out.
And it was fun, easy play.
Love that.

I did some embossing on pages for my journal.
Check out this little guy.
I'm giddy.

I stamped and cut and now I'm ready to journal on these cards.
I'm ready to ink and write.

I've made LOTS of tags to go in my journal.
Here is just a sampling.

Numbers are inked up and ready.....
well at least through 25.
So I still have a few to go =)

I've been working on getting my desk cleaned off and ready for all Christmas for the month
of December.
So letter stickers are getting put away,
and more letter stickers are being put out.

I've been punching snowflakes and confetti.
Fun.

I'm having so much fun working on Christmas paper fun.
And tomorrow starts JYC!!
I'm so ready.

What are you working on in December?

Snappy, Hearts and CKC Fun!!

Glitter Girl last week tackled using items like the
Snappy collection by Simple Stories,
but using it not on Project Life type projects.
I love these products, but have struggled with how to use them.
So Glitter Girl shone some light on how to use them,
and I ran with it.
And honestly, this came together SO quickly.
Love that.
I love these two boys so!

And Sir Cuteness got in on the act.
I added some polka dots on my letters,
and he decided that we needed to
"connect the dots" =)
So we did!
I LOVE that he helped me on this.
It gives that page so much character and charm,
don't ya think?

this week,
its all about hearts.
This is the second challenge I've done there.
I really enjoyed this one!
I used my Hambly vellum and lots of Simple Stories love.
This has so many details of funness!!

I mean seriously look at this heart journaling.
Love this LO challenge.

All of these LO's were done with my November CKC.

I added sequins to this one and lots of pen work.

I used the hexagon shapes cut apart.
They gave such good visual interest to the page, yes?
Me likey.

So I finished up my November kit today.
WOW!!!  How exciting!!
Well I finished using the paper in my main kit.
I still have lots of stickers and embellies,
and after the first of the year will use them to finish up some fall pictures
and Thanksgiving.
Fun!!
